Women’s Health provides information independent of health care provider interests for women and health workers

Women’s Health Queensland Wide (Women’s Health) is a not for profit health promotion, information and education service for women and health professionals throughout Queensland.

Their primary clients are women in Queensland and services are provided to women both directly and through others. Women’s Health client base is therefore women, health service providers, organisations that work with women and organisations that influence women’s health services and policy.

Services available include:

- Health Information Line (staffed by Registered Nurses/ midwives)
- Library (free lending library that offers a range of books on major women’s health topics)
- Resources (range of factsheets and booklets)
- Website (full text versions of factsheets, booklets and newsletters
- Health Education (programs on a variety of women’s health matters for community groups, schools and workplaces).

Women’s Health is funded by the Queensland Government.

Previously known as Women’s Health Centre Brisbane Inc., the organisation has been a leading women’s health agency since 1982. The centre was renamed Women’s Health Queensland Wide Inc in 1997, to reflect the scope their services.
