An annual international music conference organised by Q Music

Produced by Q Music (Queensland Music Network Inc.), BIGSOUND is one of Australia’s most internationally focused conferences. Producing three days of panels, the event includes workshops and artist showcases for local, national, and international music industry representatives.

BIGSOUND draws national and international industry talent to Brisbane each year, forming a collection of musicians, buyers and industry experts to create an environment of new music discovery.

The three-day BIGSOUND conference program seeks to cover cutting edge topics and tackle many issues in what is one of the world’s most rapidly changing industries.
BIGSOUND Live, the live music component of BIGSOUND, brings a unique type of music festival to Fortitude Valley, hosting 60 acts across two nights at a number of venues and outdoor stages.

BIGSOUND Live allows the public to access live and original music throughout the duration of the program. Artists showcasing at BIGSOUND Live are heard by music lovers and industry professionals from all over the world. For labels and buyers it’s a chance to attract media attention, build distribution opportunities and contract acts that will be the next big thing.

BIGSOUND has been running since 2002, and each year it has progressively attracted greater numbers of participants, speakers and artists. In 2011 BIGSOUND and BIGSOUND Live were both sold out with a record number of attendees including 540 delegates attending the conference, and over 3000 music fans attending BIGSOUND Live.
