The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia is one of over 32 IAB offices globally. The IAB’s principal objective is to increase the share of advertising and marketing dollars that interactive media captures in the marketplace.

Interactive advertising is Australia’s fastest growing advertising medium. The role of the IAB is to work with its members and the broader advertising and marketing industry to assist marketers in identifying how best to employ online as part of their marketing strategy, to better target and engage their customers; and build their brands.

IAB Australia seeks to address the core pillars of growth of the online advertising industry in the Australian market, specifically; simplified and standard online audience measurement, research; and online operational standards and guidelines. To achieve this, IAB Australia leverages the skills, experience and commitment of its members to advocate the benefits of online advertising by acting as an authoritative and objective source for all online advertising issues whilst promoting industry-wide best practice.

History:

IAB Australia officially launched in October 2005 and in 2010, became IAB Australia Ltd. Today, the IAB has a global presence stretching from Europe, to America, the Caribbean, Asia and Australia.
