Vision Radio Network

Vision Radio Network is a Brisbane-based Christian broadcaster

Vision Radio Network (Vision) is a national Christian radio broadcaster (with live online streaming) delivering a mix of adult contemporary Christian music as the preferred genre featuring the latest local and international releases, news and talk.
Broadcasting via satellite 24/7, the program mix consists of approximately 60 per cent music and 40 per cent talk. Relay stations transmit locally, reaching audiences Australia-wide through both AM and FM bands. UCB’s vision is to offer Australians the “opportunity to access trusted Christian media and resources that connect faith to life”.

UCB connects with the Christian community through a devotional for adults, The Word for Today, and also one for youth, word4U2day. Community support is offered through PrayForMe and a resource arm, UCB Direct.

The Vision Radio Network website offers program and station information, ask for a prayer, and announcer blogs/interaction. It also provides information on how to get involved with the network through volunteering and donations.

The Vision Radio Network can be found at 87.6 KHz, 87.8 KHz, or 88.0 Khz on the FM band and on 1674 Khz on the AM band within Brisbane and most surrounding suburbs.

History:

Vision FM was launched in February 1999, by the United Christian Broadcasters Australia Ltd (UCB) in Brisbane. The network changed its name to Vision Radio Network and is recognised as Australia’s first national Christian radio service. In 2001 UCB introduced Australia’s first nationwide Christian perspective news service and moved to Underwood. By 2003 the station secured numerous open narrowcast licenses. The station grew to 150 relay stations, and by 2005 there were a total of 200. In August 2011 Murphys Creek became the 500th relay station. Of these, 490 are FM stations and 10 are high-powered AM transmitters.
