Brisbane Indian Times aims to provide balanced, multicultural reporting with an emphasis on local events. The current editor of the Brisbane Indian Times is Trudi Tarres and its content is primarily made up of editorials from contributing freelance journalists.

The paper is distributed monthly in a print-run of 15,000 copies for an estimated readership of 35,000. It is distributed through channels such as Indian restaurants, temples and mosques in an area that includes Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Northern Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Fiji.

With community interest at heart, Brisbane Indian Times provides a free community contacts section and a free upcoming events section.

History:

Officially launched on 24 September, 2003, the Brisbane Indian Times is Queensland’s first free full colour Indian newspaper. In 2004 the Brisbane Indian Times introduced the Multicultural Community Awards, an annual event that recognises the efforts of individuals and businesses within the community.
