Antidote Films philosophy is to search for films that are overlooked because they are too small, difficult or simply lost in the mad rush of being new, and present them to South Pacific audiences. It has been responsible for distributing titles such as Dinner Rush, Head On, Four Of A Kind and instrumental documentaries including The Corporation and Manufacturing Consent.
Most of the titles stocked in Antidote Films online catalogue would never have been released in Australia or New Zealand if it were not for the distributor’s commitment to making little known films and documentaries available.
History:Antidote Films, formally known as Gil Scrine Films, is a distributor that has been committed to putting thought provoking films in front of audiences for nearly two decades. The company was founded by Gil Scrine, an accomplished filmmaker who continues his career today as a scriptwriter, educator and distributor.
