Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
A convention centre offering various entertainment and cultural opportunities
The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is Australia’s most awarded venue and is officially rated among the top three convention centres world-wide. The BCEC can accommodate up to 8,000 people, and hosts an average of 900 events per year. These events include boardroom committee meetings, gala dinners, international conferences and exhibitions. The BCEC also offers a range of in-house services, including catering, event production and presentation technology.
The planned BCEC expansion is nearing completion with 20 additional meeting and event spaces. This includes two tiered auditoriums for 400 and 600 delegates, a new ballroom, two additional executive boardrooms and Brisbane’s Sky Level function room. With this the BCEC is capable of hosting events of varying description, size and complexity.
History:The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC), located in Brisbane’s cultural precinct at South Bank, was opened in 1995 and is managed by leading international venue management specialists, AEG Ogden.
