A children's television channel in Australia
ABC3 is the responsibility of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s television division (ABC TV).
It is a government funded, free-to-air television channel consumed throughout Australia. It is recognised as the first digital channel dedicated to children.ABC3 is targeted at children aged between 5 and 12 years and is a highly interactive, advertisement free channel with a strong focus on Australian content and youth.
The channel is aired between 6am and 9pm (AEST).
History:ABC 3 launched on 4 December 2009 as the Australia’s only digital children’s channel.
