Lord Mayor's Photographic Awards, The
The Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards showcase photographic talent
The Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards are held annually, and are a unique opportunity for photographers of any age and experience to showcase their talents and make an original and creative statement about life in Brisbane. There are cash prizes on offer and the winning photograph in the Open Category will become part of the City of Brisbane Collection, providing a lasting legacy for the people of Brisbane for years to come.
The photographic awards involve various categories and Awards are given for each category, with prize money ranging from $500 to $10,000.
Finalists will be on display in King George Square from Thursday 13 October until Sunday 6 November 2011. Other selected entries will be displayed online at www.museumofbrisbane.com.au
History:Now in its seventh year, the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards offers photographic artists to make an innovative and artistic statement about life in Brisbane.
