Wickham Hotel, The
Leading Brisbane queer music and entertainment venue
The Wickham Hotel architecturally revives classic Queenslander style. It offers several outdoor areas, live shows, gaming rooms, dance bars and function rooms. It is one of the leading gay and lesbian venues in Queensland.
The Wickham Hotel features nightly entertainment by resident DJs such as Neroli, Matt Steer, Les Smith, Mr Sparkle and Khris Ish. It has regular guest appearances from DJs such as Harry K, Nick Jay, Wayne G and Sandi Hotrod. Other entertainment includes drag queen performances by artists such as Ms Synthetique, Venus, Alexei Paige and Crystal Dior.
The Wickham Hotel also hosts special events such as Mr Gay Australia, Precious Halloween Party and a Melbourne Cup Day Party. It hosts the Big Gay Day each year and is one of the key sponsors for the charity fundraiser.
