Urban Country Music Festival
A free annual festival showcasing country music talent
The Urban Country Music Festival epitomises the unique Queensland town of Caboolture and prides itself as being a little bit urban and a little bit country. Each May long weekend, the convivial town opens its gates to 35,000 day visitors for four days of free concerts and events. In 2011 the Urban Country Music Festival will be moving to its new festival precinct, the Caboolture Historical Village.
The festival will hold events including, the Friday Night Opening Concert – Urban Blaze, Beaut Ute Competition, Bluegrass Brunch, Village Stage Entertainment, Dusty Kids, Songwriter’s Cafe and more. The festival also features a number of ticketed events such as Bush Balladeers, poets and line-dancing socials.
The 2012 Festival dates are Friday 4 to Monday 7 May. Applications are now open for performers.
