White Room, The
A recording studio located in a rainforest setting
The White Room is a recording studio located in the rainforest surroundings of Mt Nebo owned and operated by producer Neil Coombe. Neil uses a combination of a wide selection of analogue and digital equipment including an Otari 2” tape machine, Soundcraft Ghost analogue and Control 24 consoles, a wide selection of classic and vintage microphones and a Pro Tools HD3 digital system to record artists.
The White Room also has a range of musical instruments available including electric and acoustic guitars with brands including Gibson, Rickenbacker, Fender, Maton and Yamaha. The studio also offers a range of vintage amplifiers.
The White Room consists of a large studio area as well as an outdoor veranda for artists and staff alike. The area is divided between a control room and a live area for artists. The studio has recorded more than 200 artists including The Go-Betweens, The Grates, The John Steel Singers, The Scare, Yves Klein Blue, DZ Deathrays, Robert Forster, The Stress Of Leisure, Oh Ye Denver Birds, The Good Ship, Little Scout and Mexico City.
History:The White Room has had over 25 years national and international experience, recording and working with artists including The Grates, The John Steel Singers, DZ Deathrays and Yves Klein Blue.
