The Record Exchange is one of Australia’s largest online retailers and buyers of new and used music content. The store is owned and run by Richard Van Hart, who first started a second-hand music store in Queen Street, Auckland.

Now situated on Adelaide Street, Brisbane, The Record Exchange is a small independent music retailer that supplies a variety of music services and products. The company has a vast range of music and music-related goods from every genre in a variety of formats, including vinyl records and CDs, music videos in both DVD and VHS formats, cassettes, books and additional music merchandise and memorabilia.

The Record Exchange also buys and sells a range of record players, old-style gramophones, jukeboxes, stereo systems, amplifiers and provides audio conversion services and poster printing. The retail store currently employs five people and products are also available online through the company’s website.
