Greek Club and Convention Centre, The

Brisbane-based convention centre celebrating Greek tradition

The Greek Club is a not-for-profit membership based organisation run by a team of hospitality industry professionals which aims to provide a versatile and high-quality venue. While The Greek Club is a membership based organisation, they encourage everyone to enjoy the fabulous hospitality and friendly service space.

It has become one of the prominent cultural establishments in the Brisbane community and caters for a variety of functions, whether it is corporate events to social events which range from weddings to Christmas parties. The Greek Club and Convention Centre is also a major supporter of the Greek Paniyiri Festival – a festival showcasing Greek hospitality and tradition. They also show community support by generating funds for the Greek Community of St George, this includes the Greek School, Welfare Centre, Child Care Centre, Aged Respite Centre and the St Nicholas Nursing Home and Hostel.

The Greek Community Centre has been opened since 1975, after a strong Greek presence was found in the suburbs of West End and South Brisbane in the 1920’s. Since then it has flourished and assisted its members with the development of Greek cultural activities in Brisbane.
