3D animation and live-action production company

Light Knights Entertainment is a Brisbane-based production company that specialises in 3D animation and live-action for film and television, spanning a number of genres including children’s drama, docu-drama, factual entertainment, lifestyle and full-dome feature films. As well as providing specialist animation production, the company offers comprehensive production and recording services and production development including concept/pitch development and production bible design.

Light Knights Entertainment_ works in close partnership with The Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment Group, an independent production company directed by Raymond Thompson. Cloud 9 has produced family entertainment that has been exported to 130 territories under the current CEO. Cloud 9 and Light Knights Entertainment created the animation production company Dreamcloud Pty Ltd in 2004, shortly after Cloud 9 established its new production base in Queensland.

Mark Traynor and Wes Tatters established Light Knights Entertainment in Brisbane in 1999 as a premier 3D animation and live action production house. Australia’s first 3D animated television series called The Shapies was developed by Light Knights Entertainment. The series is now broadcast in over twenty territories world-wide. In 2000, Light Knights won the Asia-Pacific Information Technology & Telecommunications Awards. In 2002 and 2003, Light Knights were finalists in the Australian Effects & Animation Festival Awards, competing against work for Star Wars Attack of the Clones and BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs.
