Turkey Tracks Press
Publishers of educational materials for people with learning disabilities
Turkey Tracks Press (TTP) publishes multi-sensory educational materials designed for dyslectic people of all ages who are unable to learn through traditional teaching methods. These educational materials are authored by Christina Ann Alexander who has dedicated her life to the development of resources that will assist dyslectic people and both teachers and parents of dyslectic people to improve reading and comprehension skills. After years of intensive research Christina produced the Banana Bookswhich were published by TTP and have been distributed on a worldwide scale since 1981. The Banana Books have proven to be so successful at aiding those with dyslexia to learn the same numeracy and literacy skills as their peers that TTP also chooses to publish other educational materials including audiovisual DVDs, puzzles and large 4-colour posters with text.
TTP now also publishes fiction and non-fiction including Christina Ann Alexander’s own short story collection, The Laughing Willows Stories, which salutes the struggles of rural women.
Christina Ann Alexander continues to win a variety of awards for her work with her most recent achievement being the 2007 Australian Horror Writers Association short story award.
