Coolum Kite Festival
A festival profiling kite flyers from around the world
Since 2000 the Coolum Kite Festival has brought kite flyers from around the world. Kites of all varieties are displayed at this annual event and include small stunt kites, giant theme based kites, and also kite surfing demonstrations. The festival displays local and cultural entertainment from the surrounding community, with over 20 musicians taking part in the festivities.
From its humble beginnings, it has grown from a local event to a festival on an international scale. The Coolum Kite Festival is an annual event held every year on Coolum beach.
