Brisbane based environmental radio service.
An environmentally focused station that broadcasts about issues regarding the environment, sustainability, health, social change and personal development. Planet Radio 88 FM has a diverse range of programs such as Quickening Evolution, World Music Program and The Inspiration Lounge and also supporting emerging and local musicians.
It is committed to supporting independent Australian music and plays a wide variety of genres. The primary audience of Planet Radio 88 FM includes individuals aged 18 to 35 who are environmentally conscious and interested in issues of social justice.
Planet Radio 88 FM is narrowcast, covering the inner city region. As of 2008 the station has the right of 88 FM in nine different local areas across the Brisbane metropolitan area. In addition, Planet Radio 88 FM is now available internationally through live streaming on the station’s website.
History:Founded in 1997 by Peter Thomas Planet Radio 88 continues to grow to new suburbs and areas in Brisbane, in 2008, Planet Radio 88 FM acquired their second license covering Brisbane’s inner and southern suburbs.
