Riverstage
A large venue for live outdoor entertainment
Brisbane’s Riverstage is a large, outdoor live entertainment venue located in a two-hectare site within the City Botanic Gardens. It plays host to many diverse local and international music and performing arts events. The outdoor venue also hosts many free local community and family events and festivals, including the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols, the Brisbane Festival, and the Lord Mayor’s Australia Day.
The Riverstage amphitheatre can hold up to 9500 people. The venue, which includes offices, stage, production office, dressing rooms, kitchen facilities and a rooftop hospitality area, is an appropriate setting for corporate functions, large celebrations and concerts. Riverstage can be hired out by individuals and organisations.
History:Brisbane’s Riverstage was opened in 1989 by the Brisbane City Council and attracts over 100,000 people each year.
