Rehearsal studios operated by musicians for musicians
Studio 13 Studios was started in 1999 and is managed by musicians for musicians. They provide musicians in Brisbane and surrounding areas with rehearsal studios, website services, CD mastering, gear hire and on site technical support. The suites are air-conditioned, each equipped with three microphones and a 400 Watt P.A. The studio features a lounge area where artists can play games and where food and drinks are available.
The web services offered by Station 13 are to assist musicians with a webpage to promote themselves. The mastering services available consist of vinyl and tape transfer.
Station 13 has acquired a name for itself as an affordable relaxed rehearsal area. Live all-ages gigs held at the studios promote the youthful character of Station 13. In 2001, the owners Steve Marker and Chris Morse substantially expanded the studio space.
