Griffith University offers undergraduate programs to students at several campuses including Logan, Gold Coast and Nathan. Griffith’s College of Art and Conservatorium are located at South Bank, containing the largest visual arts library in Queensland, and is well-known for producing high-calibre Australian musicians and recording artists. Griffith’s Arts courses provide students with pathways of study in a range of creative arts and humanities disciplines, including animation, art history and theory, contemporary arts, design, digital media drama and theatre, fine art, multimedia and interactive entertainment, photography, screen studies in film and television, and visual media. The main undergraduate degrees offered by Griffith are their three-year Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Communication, or Bachelor of Journalism. Students can choose to study Creativity and Cultural Practice, focusing on various contemporary cultural industries; Contemporary Society and Culture, focusing on social research; or Film and Screen, focusing on related areas of film, television and video; or Media and Communication, focusing on Journalism and Public Relations.
History:Opening in 1975, Griffith University was named after Sir Samuel Walter Griffith, a former Queensland Premier, Chief Justice of Queensland and Chief Justice of Australia.
