Brisbane Line, The

The online magazine of the Brisbane Institute

The Brisbane Line is an online magazine published by The Brisbane Institute every month. The Brisbane Institute is a key driver of intellectual exchange between policy makers and practitioners in industry, commerce, government, academic institutions and the wider community both in Australia and internationally.

The Brisbane Institute undertakes research, holds events, publishes commentary, and acts as an advocate for community engagement on issues and arguments that have not or cannot be raised by others, including the media. The Brisbane Line contains articles of contemporary relevance from individuals and organisations. The content in The Brisbane Line ranges from articles about Australian values, Queensland elections, public transport and water issues to religion, law and international events.

History:

Since 1998, The Brisbane Institute has been bringing the communities of greater Brisbane and South East Queensland together with leaders in government, business, industry and academia to challenge assumptions, provoke discussion, share information and generate solutions to issues.

The Brisbane Line was first released in March 2007, and has since been released monthly as a generator of ideas and a facilitator of discussion.
