ABC News Online provides a web-based, multimedia resource of news and current affairs. The website reports on different news topics, such as world, business, entertainment, sport and weather. Additionally, the site features supplementary photographs and audio and video items. Transcripts for popular ABC News and current affairs programs can also be accessed through the news website. ABC News Online provides a platform for audience interactivity, where the public can submit content via the website in the form of images, audio, written pieces, and video.
ABC News Division offers the Cadet Journalist Training Program in September each year. Applicants must have tertiary qualifications and/or some relevant media experience. Successful applicants are offered a one-year contract and will be trained as a journalist for radio, television and online news.
