Australian Music Centre
Provides representation and resources for Australian musicians and composers
Established in 1974, the Australian Music Centre (AMC) provides representation and resources for Australian musicians and composers. The centre’s main objective is to connect the world with Australian music. Each year, the centre services 25,000 requests from its members in regards to information, loans, hires and sales of publications, recordings and scores.
The AMC provides varied services to members and non-members such as professional training and seminars, advocacy, promotion, international and domestic representation, a World Wide Web presence, retail sale of their work and the provision of other professional information.
AMC provides representation to over 500 Australian-born or resident composers, and is a member of the International Association of Music Information Centres, a worldwide network of forty organisations promoting new music.
