Creative Industries Skills Council
Industry association for the development of the creative industries
The Creative Industries Skills Council (CISC) is the broader not-for-profit industry advisory voice for creative industries training in Queensland. CISC performs the duties of the Training Advisory Skills Council for the printing and graphic arts, light manufacturing in textiles, clothing, footwear and leather, arts, culture and entertainment industries in Queensland.
CISC plays a central role in working with industry, government, educational and training stakeholders on skills formation and employment strategies. Its role is to be the principle point of engagement with government and the arts, light manufacturing and printing industries on Vocational Educational and Training (VET) matters. CISC works with government in order to promote quality training outcomes and employment growth for the creative industries in Queensland.
Forming from an amalgamation of the Arts, Entertainment, Light Manufacturing, Printing and Graphic Arts Industry Training Advisory Boards, CISC was established on 1 July 2003 as one of the first creative industries associations in Queensland.
