The Australian International Media Industry Association (AIMIA) represents the Interactive Media and Digital Content sectors in Australia by creating the framework that unites a diverse industry and provides promotional support for local companies. The AIMIA also supplies export services and assistance in partnership with Austrade organising and hosting networking events.
The AIMIA supports digital content across all genres and interactive media platforms. This association has the ability to make positive impacts for members at Government and industry levels. Its online resource centre currently includes the funding of interactive media and provides a comprehensive guide to interactive media education.
History:Founded in 1992, The AIMIA is now the peak industry body for interactive content and digital media in Australia. Currently AIMIA has four State Chapters, which are New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
