Brisbane City Council is the local government authority for Brisbane

The Brisbane City Council (‘the Council’) is responsible for planning the prosperity of Brisbane. The Council supports arts, culture and heritage in Brisbane in many ways, including community grants and funding, events, activities and workshops.

Grants and funding are used by the Council to support not-for-profit organisations improve Brisbane’s landscape. Individuals seeking to promote the cultural and creative growth of the city may also be awarded funding where financial assistance is required.
