Recording studio catering to the Brisbane music industry since 1998

Through the intake of many emerging engineers, Alchemix offers set day and night sessions, EPs through to album packages. The studio is made up of two main control rooms, connecting to five separate recording environments. The studio runs the latest HD pro tools system with Lynx converters and houses an analogue set up, including compression, eq and pre-amps by many of the leading brands.

By integrating with the studio‘s website, Alchemix acts as a supporter of music Australia-wide. The website includes Queensland‘s largest musician’s classifieds page, CD shop, recording studio information, band lists and a resource section to help the independent music industry.

Alchemix studio is expanding beyond studio recording into CD distribution. The studio will therefore be able to give independent artists a platform to promote themselves. This follows the studio‘s motto of being “independent and experimental”.

First established in 1998, Alchemix aims to acknowledge the music industry in Australia by supporting and creating independent artistic identity. The studio based in Brisbane, relocated in 2004 from a basement to a larger area to meet with industry requirements. Alchemix is open to all styles of expression and currently host clients including Paul Kelly and Tim Rogers. The studio also records local groups from the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Cairns, Northern New South Wales and the occasional international artist.
