The Bayside and Northern Suburbs Star is an independent Brisbane community newspaper with a weekly circulation figure of 37,000. It is currently the largest privately owned general newspaper in the greater Brisbane area and one of only a handful of independent newspapers remaining in South-East Queensland.

The Bayside and Northern Suburbs Star contains local news, features and advertising for private and commercial interests for Brisbane’s northern suburbs. The Bayside and Northern Suburbs Star is professionally delivered to 14 suburbs in Brisbane’s North-East, with bulk deliveries to businesses within its boundaries and surrounding areas.

Editorial content primarily consists of local news relevant to the distribution area of the paper, augmented with regular features including health, beauty & fitness, home improvements, motoring scene, real estate, boating and fishing.

The first edition of the Bayside and Northern Suburbs Star was created in November 1987 and has been published continuously each Wednesday since (with the exception of an annual two week break over Christmas).
