A weekly Asian business newspaper
Queensland Asian Business Weekly (QAWB) is a weekly newspaper distributed free of charge to the Chinese and general Asian community in Queensland. The aim of the publication is to inform Chinese people living in Queensland of a variety of business and lifestyle issues.
The QABW was established in 1993 and is published entirely in Mandarin and Cantonese. The 48 plus page paper focuses its contents on general interests considered important to Australians with an ethnic Chinese background. Various companies including banks, real estate agencies and car dealerships also use the paper as a medium to target Asian readers. The QABW also provides professional translation of English to Chinese services.
The paper has a monthly circulation of over 40,000 copies and is primarily distributed via a network of shopping centres, local businesses and individuals. The QABW is also distributed to subscribers in Australia and overseas countries.
