Hoodlum is a digital entertainment company specialising in creating interactive, multiplatform and branded storytelling properties. The company is experienced in creating original projects for broadband as well as creating unique broadband offerings to parallel primetime television programs.
Hoodlum is a specialist production house that works with brands, agencies and media companies to provide original content across multiple platforms. Hoodlum experienced success in 2003 with their cult series Fat Cow Motel, a drama series that was available across primetime television, broadband and mobile. Their broadband only drama series PS Trixi, commissioned by Yahoo!7, was a successful venture partnering with Toyota.
Hoodlum is responsible for the International Emmy nominated successful Emmerdale Online Channel (an online drama spin-off of the popular UK soap) and the BAFTA winning broadband installment Spooks which have achieved international success. It also developed an online alternate reality game Find 815, for the television series LOST in collaboration with the producers of the show and the American Broadcasting Company.
Hoodlum again collaborated with the producers of LOST and the American Broadcasting Company to create a second online multi-platform program called Dharma Wants You.
History:Hoodlum was founded in 1999 by producers Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield. They have been collaborating on projects and working as a business partnership since 1995.
Hoodlum’s collaborations with LOST have earned them a number of awards. Find 815 won the Global Media Award for Outstanding Website/ Internet Entertainment in January 2009. Dharma Wants You won the 2009 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media Programming: Fiction.
