Australian Network for Art and Technology
Government Body supporting artists working in Art, Science and Technology
The Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) is an independent organisation seeking to support artists and creative professionals in development and cross-discipline collaboration, to bridge the divide between the fields of arts and technology. ANAT supports emerging and established artists in the fields of new media, arts, web technology, film and television, sound and performance. ANAT provides a range of avenues to support and develop the work of artists and creative professionals through workshops, professional development labs, publications, on-line research tools, and residencies to assist creative artists develop creative, science, and technology skills and interests. In addition, ANAT provides financial assistance to artists through their Quick Response Professional Development Travel Fund.
History:Originally formed in 1988, ANAT is assisted by the Australian Government to create opportunities for innovation, research and development – nationally and internationally.
