In 1993, Bigfish began creating a unique business model delivering creative design across all mediums, completely in-house.

Bigfish is a multi-discipline team, comprising of 16 employees: writers, designers, animators, producers, programmers and editors.

Bigfish has the ability to use any medium which will work best for their client’s budget and market. Some present and previous clients include: The University of Southern Queensland, Laing O’Rourke, Brisbane Powerhouse, Love&Rockets, Thiess, ABC TV, and the Queensland Government.

Bigfish also creates its own content has screening at numerous international animation festivals including London, Brazil, Ottawa, Hiroshima and Stuttgart.

Series created for the ABC include Laser beak Man & Gefiltefish. Online series include Little Frog, Stinky Chicken and FEST featuring Mr Pipik. Selected FEST episodes have aired on Triple J TV and the BBC.

Incorporated in 1993, Bigfish was established during the advent of the ‘digital age’. Purchasing one of the first AV desktop editing systems in Australia, Bigfish began creating a unique business model delivering creative design across all mediums, completely in-house.

As the digital age and internet expanded, so did Bigfish, attracting talented young designers who could work cross-platform. Servicing clients while developing its own content, the company developed skills crossing design, production and entertainment. The Bigfish brand continues to attract a growing audience around the globe.
