Is a national provider of communication transmissions
Broadcast Australia is the owner and operator of a national broadcast transmission network which provides transmission services for the ABC and SBS as well as regional television networks, telecommunications and community organisations.
Broadcast Australia transmits from over 600 sites across metropolitan, regional and rural Australia, reaching over 99 per cent the country’s population. The network is also an important resource for its other customers including commercial television and radio broadcasters, community broadcasters, telecommunications operators and the emergency services who utilise the facilities on its sites.
Broadcast Australia also co-hosts third party equipment and has telecommunications and radio communications services that can be accessed by emergency service organisations. The organisation is currently owned by Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group.
