QNews Magazine
Free fortnightly gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender publication
QNews is a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) magazine. QNews is predominantly a Queensland magazine but is also distributed in the Northern Rivers, New South Wales region. Approximately 112,000 people read QNews every fortnight in both its printed and online form. The magazine is also available in electronic formats.
QNews magazine features information pertinent to the GLBT community regarding health, entertainment, venues, travel and community issues, as well as local and international news. QNews magazine assists in supporting and creating new events for the GLBT community. The magazine has assisted events such as Big Gay Day, Aqualicious, Tropical Fruits, White Wolf, Queens Ball, Random, Corium, Northern Exposure, 2020 GLBT Summit, Brisbane Pride Festival, Fluffy Festival, Mardi Gras, OUT Gaymes Montreal, OUT Gaymes Pacific Melbourne, FEAST Festival Adelaide, and Open Doors, as well as dance parties for the under 18 year old community.
History:QNews was established in 2000. It transformed from a traditional newspaper publication to its current magazine format in mid 2005.
