IP (Interactive Publications)
A publisher of books, e-books and multimedia
Interactive Publications (IP) is an independent publisher of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, children’s material and multimedia titles. It is the second largest publisher of literary titles in Queensland and is at the forefront of digital publishing. Its publishing program is one of the few independents consistently supported by the Australia Council.
IP publishes 30 – 35 titles per year in multi-versions: physical print, print on demand and several eBook versions. They offer four imprints: Interactive Press, its literary imprint; Glass House Books, general trade fiction and non-fiction; IP Kidz, and IP Digital, offering publication on portable media and online. IP also publishes through the Digital Publishing Centre as a focus for their digital programs.
IP specialises in marketing Australian content to the world and succeeds in audience development, promotion and distribution. It also offers services to corporate and government clients as well as selected self-publishers. The company partners with major global distributors such as Apple, Amazon, Overdrive, EBooks Corp and Kobo.
History:IP began as a corporate publishing consultancy in Brisbane in 1994 and still works as such under the directorship of Dr David Reiter, himself a multi-award-winning author. IP was launched in 1997 with the publication of its first title Hemingway in Spain.
