Time Off MagazineA free weekly music street press Read the interview with Matthew O'Neill, Journalist Time Off is a weekly street press publication focusing primarily on the music scene in Brisbane. In addition to providing articles about local, national, and international artists Time Off covers a variety of topics including television programs, art, theatres, comedy, dance, cinema reviews and career prospects. Time Off specialises in contemporary popular music including rock, indie, punk, metal, blues and roots as well as dance, theatre and comedy acts. Published weekly, Time Off magazine is distributed to over 800 pubs, clubs, cafes, and stores throughout the greater Brisbane, Gold and Sunshine Coasts as well as the Byron Bay region. Each week more than 24000 copies of the magazine are circulated. Time Off focuses on the 17-35 year demographic, by profiling the entertainment scene, international performers and events. The magazine also fosters many Australian artists and journalists via the selection process of published interviews and articles. Time Off is also available online. The web site includes a message board, music news, reviews and classified ads. History:Time Off is Australia’s longest running street paper. It was established by University of Queensland students in 1980 as a small publication.
