A film festival celebrating the best in Italian film

The Lavazza Italian Film Festival aims to enhance awareness and knowledge of Italian culture through cinema. Showing over six weeks at 13 select Palace Cinemas in Australia, the festival presents a selection of Italian films including thrillers, comedies, political satires and dramas.

Curated and presented by Palace Cinemas, the festival reaches Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, runs for over a month and is attended by approximately 40,000 people each year.
The film festival is presented as the biggest Italian film festival out of Italy and is sponsored by local and Italian businesses including Peroni, Brown Brothers, Zafarelli and most notably Lavazza.

History:

The Lavazza Italian Film Festival began in 2000 in Sydney and Melbourne, showing a small number of films. It has since grown to 5 capital cities over 900 screenings per year.
