Brisbane International Film Festival
Annual event that cultivates Australian and international cinema

Showcasing an array of local and international cinema, the festival aims to cultivate Brisbane and Australian filmmakers. Brisbane International Film Festival screens a vibrant and colourful mix of world cinema, documentaries, retrospectives, experimental work, late night thrillers, animation, children’s films, and hosts a short film competition.
The festival has now hosted over 375,000 people and runs for approximately 11 days in November.
History:The Brisbane International Film Festival started in 1992 and is presented by the state’s government Screen Queensland.
