GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival, The
GreazeFest is an annual celebration of cultural elements
An annual party weekend, GreazeFest features a Hot Rod Show with custom cars and vintage motor cycles, rockabilly music, retro and vintage fashion parades, an art show, markets and live entertainment. The Hot Rod show is the highlight of the weekend and showcases a display of metal-flaked dream machines and classic hot rods. Trophies and prizes are awarded to cars in a number of categories including King Rod, King Classic, King Ride, King Lowrider and Trophy Queen.
Over 130 stalls are included at GreazeFest selling vintage wares, rockabilly clothing, automobilia, artwork and collectibles. Live music concerts and dancing are held over the evenings of the festival, the Rockabilly Nights.
GreazeFest is held at the Rocklea Showgrounds in Rocklea, Brisbane, every year in August and welcomes all ages to their day events. Tickets for the festival can be purchased through their website.
History:Holding its 13th festival in 2012, GreazeFest is one of the largest kustom kulture events in the Southern Hemisphere and attracts thousands of patrons every year.
