Alliance Française French Film Festival, The
A yearly festival celebrating the best in French film and culture
The Alliance Française Film Festival has grown to be the largest film festival in Australia, expanding to both Palace Cinema locations in Brisbane in 2011.
Run by Alliance Française organisation, the festival shows off the best in French film, touching every genre from drama, documentaries and romantic comedies. In its 22nd year, the festival boasts an array of over 46 new films and features many international French stars.
The festival is run in partnership with Alliance Française and the cultural service of the French Embassy, hosted by Palace Cinemas.
History:Since its inception in 1989 as an initiative of the Sydney branch of the Alliance Française, the French Film Festival has expanded nationally, arriving in Brisbane in 2002.
