Ambiwerra Festival
Food, wine, music and fashion festival
The Ambiwerra Festival is an annual event that showcases gourmet food, wine, music and fashion designs from Queensland and Australia. It is held on the first Sunday of August at the Ambiwerra Sports Fields in Corinda.
Each year the festival features food from a selection of Brisbane’s restaurants, who prepare their signature dish for attendees to sample, along with local and international wines, beers and champagnes from featured wineries.
Musical entertainment is provided by a mixture of jazz, soul and blues musicians who perform on the festival’s live stages. The Ambiwerra Festival also hosts the Fashion Platter Awards, which showcases winning “wearable art” design entries from Brisbane secondary schools and TAFE students.
