JMC Academy
Training for the creative and entertainment industries
JMC Academy is an education and training institution for the Creative Industries. The JMC Academy’s South Brisbane campus is located in the creative precinct, adjacent to Queensland’s State Library, Art Gallery, Museum and Performing Arts Centre. The range of facilities housed in the JMC Academy campus include 11 lecture rooms, a 200 seat auditorium, three computer labs, four recording studios, a green screen studio for film and television, two editing suites, three rehearsal rooms, a student lounge and library.
Courses offered include Film and Television, Digital Media and 3D Animation, Audio Engineering and Sound Production, Contemporary Music Performance, and Entertainment Business Management. All courses are available at a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree level.
The JMC Academy’s programs are structured to reflect the diverse and interrelated networks underpinning the multi-faceted Creative Industries. The Academy is dedicated to ensuring their students perform well in their chosen careers and are given priority access to a network of proven training professionals and state of the art technology and equipment.
History:Established in 1982 by John Martin Cass, the JMC Academy was originally founded in Sydney to meet the demand for qualified professionals in the entertainment industry. The JMC Academy was the first private college in Australia to be accredited in the fields of Audio Engineering, Digital Television and Digital Multimedia.
