Bent MagazineBent is a lifestyle magazine targeted at the gay population Bent Magazine is a lifestyle magazine targeting the interests and needs of the gay male population. Its focus is on quality editorial and images with a wide range of lifestyle mix, with a sense of humour but mindful of its readership interests. Bent magazine is devoted to bringing readers homoerotic fiction, specifically aimed at fans of ‘yaoi’ and slash genres. A typical issue features, several short stories of varying fictional genres, as well as reviews and lists of upcoming manga releases. Since hitting the streets of Australia in 2002, the magazine has been graced with the likes of Danni Minogue, Andrew Denton and Andrew Mercado for cover shots. Bent Magazine has offered its audience celebrity interviews from a variety of fields including actors, cooks, activists, artists, singers, filmmakers, dancers and DJs. It has fast become a popular publication for Australia’s gay community. Bent Magazine is distributed quarterly and allows the audience to actively engage in providing content for the seasonal issues of the magazine. The magazine is primarily distributed in Sydney and selected interstate outlets, including Brisbane.
