Queensland Music Festival

A bi-annual celebration of musical excellence

Run biennially the Queensland Music Festival (QMF) is a celebration of musical excellence run across the state of Queensland. The 17 day festival brings together local, national, and international acts from various musical genres and backgrounds. Performances are held in Brisbane and also in regional and remote centers. Past acts have included Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning, John Butler, Clare Bowditch and Sarah Blasko.

The festival’s wide scope and various locations make it accessible to a state-wide audience. The festival aims to create a unique experience that connects people with place and community. QMF celebrates the richness and diversity of Queensland’s musical and geographical landscapes. The QMF encourages collaboration and participation in music making and performance. This is achieved through cooperation with both local shire councils and the wider community to reflect local culture and stories.
