A Brisbane-based college which focuses on the creative industries
The Design College Australia (DCA), located in the Fortitude Valley was founded in 1990 as an independent college. The DCA provides courses relevant to different design areas such as graphic design, photography, multimedia and design technology. The courses offered by the school have flexible duration that ranging between three months and two years. The DCA’s teaching staff is comprised of current design industry professionals as well as academics and the small class sizes ensure that students receive one on one teaching.
The DCA also enables students to complete a bachelor degree through its university pathway with the University of the Sunshine Coast. Students who successfully complete Design College Australia’s Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication gain entry to the University of the Sunshine Coast bachelor program.
History:Design College has been around for over 20 years. Over the years DCA has built strong relationship with industry bodies and local employers, helping kickstart the graduates’ careers. DCA also contribute to the creative community by hosting professional development and networking events.
