Avalon Media is an Australian-based media development and production company which produces daily website updates, weekly newsletters, fortnightly mobile content and two monthly lesbian magazines. Avalon Media consistently offers fresh and diverse content for gay and straight women through quality journalism and community involvement.

Lesbians on the Loose ( LOTL ) is a free street press magazine available in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The magazine has the undisputed lesbian market share in Australia celebrating over 20 years in publishing in 2010. Its readership includes every state and territory of Australia, as well as in 116 countries and territories overseas, in locations as diverse as Iraq, Sudan and Nicaragua.

Bound Magazine is available through news agencies in Australia and internationally. It is the world’s first international magazine for lesbians and women with a connection to the queer community. The publication aims to provide in-depth features, celebrity interviews, travel editorials, fashion spreads and previews of the latest lifestyle essentials. It is currently available in over 15 countries.

In 1999, the company purchased Sydney-based magazine LOTL, which was first published as an eight-page newsletter in 1989. Avalon Media was established in 1999 to publish LOTL and Bound Magazine to the lesbian and bisexual community in Australia. It operates from offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
